Provide Quality Products And Services At Fair Prices

Filed under: Marketing — Tim Warren @ 1:20 am

Quality and price may be obvious, but it’s good to be reminded that these are really the continuing basis for business success. You don’t want to lose sight of the quality of your work and the price of your work or product.

There are occasions when you might have difficult choices to make in the products that you offer. You might have opportunities to cut the quality by buying cheaper components, thereby increasing your profit margin. You need to analyze the effect of these substitutions and cost reductions to make sure that they’re not easily perceived by the customer so they negatively reflect on you.

In a business where you provide a service, it’s very easy to reduce the services included and maintain the same price structure or charge extra for individual items and add-on services that were included in base prices before.

Be cautious. Don’t fall into a pattern of reducing your service but keeping the same price. You are much better off raising the price to reflect the quality service you’re offering.

A better option may be to reduce your services and lower your price on one package so you can offer a multi-tiered approach or pricing plan.

Until next time.

Attitude is everything – the old phrase is true!

Filed under: Business — Tim Warren @ 1:09 am

We’ve all heard the old phrase - attitude is everything, and that phrase is certainly true. Your attitude can have a profound impact on your level of success, so it’s important to keep a positive attitude no matter what challenges and roadblocks are thrown up in your way.

As a matter of fact, keeping a positive attitude in the face of overwhelming odds is one thing that extremely successful business owners have in common. The most successful business owners, from the Sam Walton to Bill Gates, have all been able to triumph in the face of adversity.

One of the most important ways to implement that attitude is everything axiom is to watch who you associate with and who you surround yourself with. That is because surrounding yourself with negative people can cause their negative attitudes to rub off on you.

Surrounding yourself with people exhibiting positive attitudes, is also contagious, but in a much more constructive manner. Keeping your network of associates, colleagues, coworkers and friends as positive as possible is a great way to put the phrase “attitude is everything” into practical use.

Whatever you decide to do in life, your attitude will have a profound effect on the success you achieve. Success, whether in the world of business or in your personal life, is directly related to your attitude.

A positive attitude will help you achieve greater success in your job, no matter what your current level of employment. In fact, with the competitive environment in most corporations today, a positive attitude is mandatory if you want to advance.

And if you want to start or run your own business, it’s even more important. The making or breaking of the company depends on your attitude as a leader. Your attitude will be modeled and emulated by your employees. If you show a positive attitude to your employees, you will se a positive can-do attitude reflected back by them. Everyone will be much more willing to go that extra mile to make your business thrive. Then everyone benefits.
